All about HDR

What is HDR?
high dynamic range imaging (HDRI or just HDR) is a set of techniques that allow a greater dynamic range of luminicans between the lightest and darkest areas of an image than standard digital imaging techniques or photographic methods. This wider dynamic range allows HDR images to represent more accurately the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes ranging from direct sunlight to faint starlight.

I have download a HDR program and test around with it. The two picture shown above was my first edit using HDR.

I have my 1st outdoor shooting at titiwangsa this morning. The sky is not very bright. I have try my best to shoot those picture with ISO200, fully manual by adjusting the shutter speed and aperture. Try to know my camera well, understand what it capable of and not capable lo. Try to capture a photo with variety of angle, try to frame picture with a theme or title, and let the pictures tell the story. You can see in some the picture I try to use the water reflection to make the pictures interesting. Will upload more photo in the future. Comment are welcome to improve my shooting skill and if possible, tell me which picture u like o dislike. Thanks.
Trying to capture lamp light. Seems like there is a dust stack on my lens
Trying to capture light tail, but the hanging tower there spoilt my picture
Road lamp + light tail

Picture above was taken yesterday at my house balcony, my 1st ever night shooting. No edit,no tripod, straight out from my camera. I know the pictures might not look so attracting, a lot of noise, aperture too small, high ISO, but i promise i will make it better the next time with a tripod, using smaller ISO, higher aperture. There is a lot for me to improve. Lastly C&C are welcome, but the comment dun be so bad la...hehe

Gunung Irau part1

Mountain Irau is locally known as Gunung Irau, which is located in Cameron Highland. At 2110m and 6923 feet, it is the 15th highest mountain in Malaysia and 9th highest mountain in Penisular Malaysia. At the peak of Irau, there is a border stone marker which indicate 2 states - Pahang and Perak.

To go there you have to travel to Cameron Highlands and proceed to Brinchang by road. Along the way you will pass by Tea-boh farm and strawberry farm. After that you will reach the entrance of gunung Irau.

From the entrance, you will need to hike about 4-5 hours to reach Irau peak. The road is framed for being the highest road in Peninsular Malaysia. Mossy forest and fairyland, cold wind and misty clouds, are some of the wonders at gunung Irau. You was like hiking in a fairytale forest. Therefore It make Irau mountain so special and unique compare to others mountain. You will definitely love it. Pictures talkzzzz

From the entrance, there is a bridge connection about 100m. Trek very simple in the beginning but after this bridge, the trek will become harder and muddy
We are FS!! FS=fast speed??front support??foto shooting??Actually our task is to arrive at the peak before other participants so that we can setup our tents, fly sheet on the peak campsite before raining. But then we end up taking lots of pictures on the way to the peak. However we still manage to reach peak before others can do. Good job!!!!
Fog is everywhere in the mountain. Fresh and cold air. I like this weather very much, no sweating
Sign board show that we still have 1.55km more to reach the peak. We have already trek along the mountain for about 800m
I like this mountain very much. Nice scenery along the trekking and you will not feel boredHeard that there is a local movie filming that take place in this mountain before. Almost all the trees here are fully covered by moss. It is like as wet as sponges, so comfortable to touch it. I use it to clean my dirty handVery steep huh? Yes..some of the trek is very steep that you need to use not only your leg muscle, but your hand muscle also, to pull yourself upFallen tree and exposed roots is very common here and it normally block the path, making the track more challengingCan you see this? AwesomeI sure many know what is black nepenthese. But how many actually saw white nepenthese? My backpack, which I taken during our rest at checkpoint after 2 hour hike. Rain cover is very important here to cover my backpack so that it will not get dirty easilyThree of us. Me, Z.hao and RaymondCan you see the marker? Marker that indicate the hiking path.Golden green mosses
The only picture that contains 5 of us. Thanks to a hiker that volunteer to take our picture. I like this picture the most. Great background
Over-exposure picture

Forest of fairlady land. Do it looks alike with LOTR?Steep steep steep
We are in the middle of the mountain
Pay attention at Z.Hao face expression. On the way, J.Yang will shout "Wow..仙境""wow...仙境" if he saw any extraordinary view. And we will take turn to take photo in front of the 仙境
Muddy ground is everywhere in this mountain. Some of the ground is so soft like a mattress and will sink when you step on it. I kena few times and I have to pull out my leg from the ground
Leave nothing but footprintsLook at our shoes. Very dirty
I wonder how God can create such a beautiful place. It is a reward for hiking so long
This is the last track to the peak

This post only contains information about mount Irau and our trekking experience. More picture will be upload in second post regarding our activities in the peak. What we do and how we cook in the peak. STay tune.
